On July 13, 2019 Shannon and Abraham tied the knot in Florence, Italy. They both love traveling the world and spending time with their friends and family so it only made sense for the couple to plan a destination wedding. The couple called on The Tuscan Wedding to help them make their dream wedding a reality.
Shannon and Abraham’s rustic chic wedding was a beautiful infusion of cultures. The couple got married at the Santa Maria Novella church in Florence, one of the most beautiful and historic churches in Florence. With the bride originally being from Scotland, they made sure to include Scottish wedding traditions into the ceremony.
On the day of the wedding, Shannon got ready alongside her bridesmaids and her mother, with the help of the talented hair and makeup artist Gulia Cresci. Shannon’s hair was perfectly curled and to complete the look she added crystal hair piece. She looked absolutely stunning in her off the shoulder, lace gown, with a natural waste by Pronovias. The most exquisite part of the dress was the long train that stretched down the aisle along with her beautiful long vail to match. When it was time for the ceremony, the bride drove over to the Church in a Mercedes with her parents.
Abraham looked dapper in this black tuxedo as he stood at the altar with a big smile on his face waiting for the bride. Shannon was escorted down the aisle by her father, who wore a traditional kilt, while the church organist played music in the background. Flowers Living helped the couple incorporate their rustic theme into the historic church with greenery decorating the aisles and altar. They certainly worked their magic on Shannon’s bouquet complete eucalyptus, olive branches and a mix of white flowers. The ceremony was beautiful with friends and family reading passages from the bible and Shannon and Abraham professing their love and commitment for each other. In traditional Italian style, the guests exited the Church first, so they could celebrate the newlyweds by showering them in white rose petals as they exited the Church.
When guests arrived at Villa le Fontanelle after the ceremony, The Tuscan Wedding directed them towards the terrace. Here guests enjoyed an aperitif and cocktails while looking out at the amazing views of the city of Florence and the Tuscan countryside. Before joining their guests, Shannon and Abraham took advantage of the golden hour lighting and captured amazing photos as husband and wife thanks to Quattro Studio and the videographer Matteo Castelluccia.
The reception was nothing short of magical with the amazing décor. One long table was seat for all the guests with a runner of greenery and lights strung above the table set up by Wedding Music and Lights to create a romantic atmosphere. Guests enjoyed a four-course meal catered by Galateo Ricevimenti and after dinner everyone watched as a Millefoglie cake was made right in front of them by the talented pastry chef. During the Party, the arrival of the ice cream truck Frullalà was really a big surprise: all the guest had the opportunity to taste the real Italian gelato.
After dinner the newlyweds and theirs guests danced the night away on the music played by the Dj Leonardo Martera.
