Some people spend their whole lives imagining what their wedding day may look like, the fantasy of feeling like a prince or princess on the most special of days inspiring so many to search for their dream location. For Jenna and Chris, there was no doubt that this location was Borgo di Vignamaggio in Greve in Chianti, Italy – a thirteenth century villa that is one of the most bespoke wedding locations in Tuscany, with its thirteen suites, classic ballroom, glass greenhouse, incredible pool overlooking the valley and centuries-old vineyards, among other things. Knowing this special day would only come once, and just how special the weekend needed to be, they made the decision to host a once-in-a-lifetime, incredible destination wedding – but they couldn’t do it alone!
Thanks to the experts at The Tuscan Wedding, Jenna and Chris were able to arrange their perfect day hosted in their dream location- and so much more. The Tuscan Wedding’s connections with only the very best of the Italian wedding industry meant that the bride-and-groom to be had plenty of choices in order to design their day exactly as they wanted, from incredible flower arrangements and impeccable decor done by the geniuses at Flowers Living and Wedding Music and Lights respectively, to making sure their reception party would be an absolute bash with the music from DZ Duo from Almaproject and DJ Audiodress.
Indeed, the morning of her wedding Jenna could enjoy a true girls time with her bridesmaids, mom and other family members, her wedding party relaxing in fun tan silk pajamas and sharing a luxury prosecco with the bride dressed in her own satin dressing gown with sheer, pearl studded pillowy sleeves and a lace and satin white pajama set. This was, of course, before the ever-talented Cherie Spisso worked her hair and makeup magic, turning Jenna from an already beautiful woman to radiant bride with her dark hair pulled back in an elegant bun with a pearl bridal pin, very chic and natural makeup with bright inner corners, and flushed pink cheeks and lips. The white satin sheath wedding dress she wore- minimalist and effortlessly elegant with spaghetti straps, sweetheart neckline, a ruched waist, and large statement satin bow on the back – turned Jenna into a veritable princess, elegant and polished, while her simple double pearl earrings, gold and pearl bracelet, trillion-cut diamond ring and impeccable French manicure completed the ensemble.
Never ones to shy away from dancing around the rules, Jenna sneaked away to surprise Chris, where under a stone and grass path framed by columns and metal trellis both Bride and Groom could only smile as they sneaked a kiss before the ceremony. Chris struck an equally handsome figure when they both finally made their way to their ceremony, wearing a soft blue suit with tan suspenders, brown oxford shoes, a white dress shirt and a white-and-blue flowery statement tie. The ceremony finished the picture-perfect scene, as the couple exchanged their vows and kissed in a giant beautiful stone and garden terrace overlooking the hills of Greve in Chianti, finally married under a wrought iron arch overgrown with flowers, while a groomsmen played the guitar and guests cheered.
Afterwards a huge lawn overlooking the rolling hills was where guests had an aperitivo with Aperol spritz and other cocktails at the bar and fresh hors-d’œuvres, admiring the incredible view. They were also invited to “take a cello” from a bright blue wall with pre-named bottles of limoncello, a unique and much-appreciated wedding favor as the star photographers at Purewhite took the Jenna and Chris for a gorgeous photoshoot amongst the Borgo’s stone pathways, rich orchards, and incredible vineyards.
The evening moved on in the Piazza, in front of a double staircase leading up to the luxurious villa where dancing began in the center of the long, dark wooden rustic tables that circled the dance floor in artisanal-crafted wooden chairs and long table runners made of white rose, tiny, delicate baby pink Japanese anemone, and other exotic flowers in tones of bright pink, dark pink, and pale purple to match the Bride’s stunning bouquet, and red candles in golden and crystal candleholders. As Jenna and Chris shared their first dances with each other and parents, there were hanging lanterns with strings of golden lights to illuminate the whole area, creating a dreamy landscape straight from a fairy tale, and the guests couldn’t help but celebrate the newlyweds in emotional speeches, recorded for a lifetime thanks to the videographers at Aberrazioni Cromatiche, that only showed just how memorable and incredibly special the evening had been, not only for the wedding party but above all for Jenna and Chris themselves.
