A romantic Tuscan wedding was a dream come true for Saghar and Ben, who first met in law school in 2012. A few years later the couple traveled to Florence, Italy together and despite not even being engaged, Saghar and Ben knew that they would love to return to Florence one day to celebrate their love for one another with family and friends. The Tuscan Wedding helped Saghar and Ben to plan the destination wedding of their dreams: the weekend started with a lovely Pizza Party followed by a very classy and romantic wedding at Villa Cora.
Saghar looked absolutely gorgeous in her custom made white long sleeve lace dress by Oscar de la Renta. The look was completed with classic pearl earrings and white flats with pearl straps by Bella Belle Shoes. Her chic makeup look was done by the talented Natalia Issa. The combination of natural makeup and a perfect bun created a timeless look. The groom looked dapper in his custom tuxedo with a white jacket by Johnathan Behr. To add a personal touch to his look Ben wore cufflinks given to him by Saghar with a picture of their dog Otter … a perfect way to have their beloved pet with them on their big day.
Every detail of the wedding was perfectly planned, creating the most exquisite wedding décor featuring pink, peach and ivory floral with green accents. The couple’s color palette was inspired by the iconic Duomo di Santa Maria del Fiore, bringing the local cultural to life on their wedding day. Flowers Living did a spectacular job creating the most beautiful floral arrangements for every part of the wedding day. Most importantly they did an exquisite job decorating the wedding stage for a traditional Persian wedding. Décor included a gold mirror and candelabra along with white urns beside the side stage filled with pink and peach floral and lots of greenery was the perfect addition to the ceremony.
Saghar and Ben’s elegant Persian wedding ceremony marked the beginning of their life together and the unity of their different cultural backgrounds. It was important to the couple to pay homage to Saghar’s culture and have the ceremony officiated by a family friend in both English and Farsi. The couple chose to skip traditional readings and exchanged vows they wrote for each other.
After the ceremony, the guests along with the newlyweds enjoyed an aperitif and cocktails including an Aperol Spritz and a Negroni in front of the Villa. In order to include their dog Otter on their wedding day, the couple had his picture printed on cocktail stirrers and napkins. While sipping on cocktails, the guests listened to music played by an Italian folk trio. Just before guests were seated for dinner, Saghar and Ben enjoyed their first dance together as husband and wife.
Villa Cora provided guests with a delicious three course meal. Millefeuille eggplants, mozzarella, tomatoes and parmesan to start, followed by orecchiette pasta with cacio chese and pepper, lastly beef fillet, buffalo cream, millefeuille of potatoes, a paprika. The couple chose not to have a traditional wedding cake, instead guests were served a delicious soft dark chocolate, noisette crumble, mou ice cream. One of the best surprises of the night was when Saghar changed into a gorgeous beaded dress. After dinner Saghar and Ben danced the night away with family and friends.
