Shannon and Abraham dreamed of a grand Italian villa wedding. They both love travelling the world and spending time with their friends and family, so it only made sense for the couple to plan a destination wedding.
The couple called on The Tuscan Wedding to help them make their dream wedding a reality.

The team is very responsive, professional, and experienced. Our wedding day was better than we imagined and our guests couldn’t have enjoyed it more. The whole team was amazing on the day organized and everything was so seamless. Daniela made sure everything was exactly to plan and we had nothing to worry about.
Before the Ceremony
On the day of the wedding, Shannon got ready alongside her bridesmaids and her mother, with the help of the talented hair and makeup artist Gulia Cresci. Shannon’s hair was soft waves of curls, perfect for a boho Italian villa wedding. She also added a crystal hairpiece for a touch of luxury and opulence.
Pronovias designed her dress as an off-the-shoulder lace gown with a natural waist and long train. Finally, she finished her look with an exquisite veil that stretched down the aisle.
The groom wore a classic black tuxedo, the perfect touch for an elegant wedding in Italy.
A Church Ceremony
Shannon and Abraham’s rustic chic wedding was a beautiful infusion of cultures. As the bride is from Scotland, they included Scottish wedding traditions. The Tuscan Wedding helped ensure that all their wishes came to life for their ceremony.
The couple got married at the Santa Maria Novella church in Florence, one of Florence’s most beautiful and historic churches.
Shannon was escorted down the aisle by her father, who wore a traditional kilt, while the church organist played music in the background.
The ceremony was beautiful with friends and family reading passages from the bible and Shannon and Abraham professing their love and commitment for each other. Finally, in traditional Italian style, the guests exited the church first to celebrate the newlyweds by showering them in white rose petals as they left the church.
Cocktails and Canapes
When guests arrived at Villa le Fontanelle after the ceremony, The Tuscan Wedding directed them towards the terrace. Here guests enjoyed an aperitif and cocktails while looking out at the stunning views of the city of Florence and the Tuscan countryside.
Before joining their guests, Shannon and Abraham took advantage of the golden hour lighting. They captured beautiful photos as husband and wife, thanks to Quattro Studio and the videographer Matteo Castelluccia.
Florals for an Italian Villa Wedding
Flowers Living helped the couple incorporate their rustic theme into the historic church with greenery decorating the aisles and altar. They certainly worked their magic on Shannon’s bouquet with eucalyptus, olive branches and a mix of white flowers.
They covered the Italian villa wedding in branches of olive, eucalyptus and swathes of white flowers that were elegant and luxurious.
To bring a touch of Scottish tradition, they also used blue thistles in all the florals. It was the perfect touch to express Shannon’s heritage and celebrate her family.
An Italian Villa Wedding Reception
The reception was nothing short of magical with the extraordinary décor. Wedding Music and Lights, who created the decor, set one long table for all the guests with a greenery runner. Furthermore, they added a string of lights above to create a romantic atmosphere for them and their guests.
Guests enjoyed a four-course meal catered by Galateo Ricevimenti. Not to mention the delicious Millefoglie cake, made right in front of everyone by the talented pastry chef.
During the Party, the arrival of the ice cream truck Frullalà was a big surprise: all the guests had the opportunity to taste authentic Italian gelato.
Finally, after dinner, the newlyweds and theirs guests danced the night away on the music played by the Dj Leonardo Martera.
