Want to get married in Italy but not sure when? The Tuscan Wedding can help you make this important decision! The wedding season begins in May and goes until the middle of October. This span of six months is extremely busy for wedding planners, wedding venues, and wedding vendors. This means booking your wedding far in advance is extremely important; otherwise you will not be able to have the arrangements you want. Anytime and anywhere in Italy will never fail to impress however each month of the wedding season is different; and it all depends on what the bride prefers.
The first month of the wedding season here in Italy is late April into May and this is when all the hustle and bustle begins. Winter has finally ended and the smiles begin to grow on people’s faces as the warm weather is near. Flowers begin to blossom and the birds begin to sing; this time can be very beautiful. The temperature feels just right not climbing much over 75 degrees Fahrenheit. The clouds and rain of spring begin to decrease and the sun begins to poke through. To play it safe having the ceremony and reception inside may be a good idea, especially if you are planning to have your wedding in the beginning of May. However this is not a problem, the Tuscan Wedding offers many venues perfect for a wonderful indoor wedding.
June, July and August are the summer months and this is the most popular time to get married all throughout Italy. Since this time is so popular booking your accommodations and encouraging your guests to do the same at least six months in advance is a good idea. June is the month of Juno, the Roman goddess of marriage. June is the beginning of the summer months the temperature begins to climb and the sun is shining. During July the temperature climbs higher creating a great time to escape to the Tuscan countryside to avoid the hot, humid, crowed city of Florence. There are so many fabulous venues that are offered in the hills of Tuscany. The summer months are a great time to dine outside or even have your ceremony out under the summer sun. The Tuscan Wedding has prepared so many elegant, rustic weddings outdoors during these summer months. The average temperatures during August climb even higher which makes August the hottest summer month in Italy, however you can always guarantee the sun will be shining down on your wedding day; and who doesn’t want that? The grass is green, the flowers are flowing in the wind, and the cloud cover is minimal. The month of August may be quieter and more relaxing than the other months; many Italians take the month of August off for holiday, which may cause Italy to seem less busy during this time. This is something the bride may enjoy and is something she should take into consideration.
September and October are the final months of the wedding season. September is filled with summer days followed by cool nights, which could work perfectly for a wedding ceremony. In the late afternoon when the sun is high in the sky the ceremony and dinner outdoors could take place, once everyone goes inside for drinks and dancing the weather will cool down. Once October rolls around summer has finished and the colors are beginning to change. Everyone is back to work after their summer holiday and all the shops and attractions will be up and running. The fall is when Italy is celebrating its harvest with many festivals of food and wine, which could be enjoyable for a Bride’s guests to attend. As October approaches the weather may feel more fall-like as the days begin to cool down. Fall is a great time for the celebration of love.
All of the months during the wedding season are great, but it all depends on the Bride and how she would like to spend her special day.
