Gerard and Kelly’s wedding was the perfect combination of quirky and classy, with fun and cute details that really makes it stand apart from the majority of Tuscan countryside weddings. The personalities of the bride and groom really shine through in the photography and the choices they made their day, making it one of the most unique weddings we have ever had the pleasure of organising here at The Tuscan Wedding.
The bride’s red hair, porcelain skin and choice of dress by Florentine designer Sonia Disposa made her resemble a beautiful forest nymph as she arrived at the couple’s emotional and romantic forest ceremony set amongst the fern trees in the Tuscan countryside. She was walked down the aisle by her father and the couple’s son to the sound of a string quartet playing.
They couple said their vows to each other while a soft wind from the valley twirled around them atmospherically and then the celebration continued at the beautiful Villa Bianco Merlo. As an ode to their daughter’s unquenchable appetite for sweets they organised a table with sweets galore for their guests to feast on throughout the day.
The floristry reflected the natural bohemian style of the couple, the bridesmaids carried bouquets of heather while the bride held a classic bouquet of white roses and antique vases of gypsophila were spread across the banquet tables for the wedding breakfast.
Gerard has always loved Tuscany and he wanted his and Kelly’s family and friends to experience the beauty of it at their wedding, which was a week long event of festivities and celebrations bringing them closer together in the process.
Gerard and Kelly’s special day was unique and inspiring, perfectly capturing the true warmth of a traditional Italian wedding whilst also clearly communicating the playful personalities of the bride and groom.[:]
