David recently wed Roxanne in Tuscany surrounded by their close friends and family. David is of Scottish decent and is a world famous tennis player. David also works as a tennis instructor who was based in Qatar but then moved to London with his wife, Roxanne, who is a property manager. David and Roxanne are trusting and faithful clients of The Tuscan Wedding and they put their faith into the team to execute their perfect wedding.
David and Roxanne recall, “When we decided to get married in Italy, the biggest problem we faced was deciding on the location because we were bringing in 60 guests for a week long vacation. This is where Daniela came into the picture because during the entire process of planning the event, she was the wedding planner who gave us a large selection of locations to choose from. She also responded quickly to our emails, had a positive attitude, and passion for her job.”
When deciding on a location for their wedding, the bride wanted a villa that was suitable for all their friends and relatives to stay with them at. During the venue scouting process, Roxanne boarded a plane bound for Italy in pursuit of finding a venue. What made the trip especially exciting is that her mom who she had not seen for some time accompanied Roxanne. They both feel in love instantly with the Villa Medici in Artimino.
Roxanne says, “I have no doubt that I couldn’t have organized such a perfect week without Daniela’s help. She assisted with the communications between the hotel to organizing the multiple apartments we needed for our friends and family, and even helped to plan our welcome barbeque for our guests.”
Dream Wedding, a company based in Florence, specially designed Roxanne’s wedding dress to fit her specific shape, size, and taste. She had the initial meeting and then went back home. When she returned to Italy three months later, both she and David went to check on her dress and see the Villa of Artimino. This villa is highly skilled and experienced in weddings. This was a week filled with nerves, anxiety and excitement, as it was the week before the ceremony. On the Monday before the wedding, the couple hosted a casual barbeque at the Cantina del Redi.
“Daniela was responsible for introducing me to our fantastic florist, hiring the musicians, arranging with the lighting technicians, and even finding a translators and person to officiate the ceremony. She managed the set-up and made sure the whole event went smoothly,” stated the beaming bride.
On the magical day, their 56 relatives and friends attended a beautiful and glorious ceremony. Roxanne walked down the aisle in her beautiful, custom-made dress to meet her future husband David, dressed in a traditional kilt. After the ceremony, dinner included a festive Italian menu with mushroom crepes, red wine enriched pork fillet, sautéed vegetables, cream of asparagus, and roasted potatoes. After such a heavenly dinner, the guests also enjoyed a scrumptious slice of wedding cake. Everything that evening was accompanied with Artimino estate wine.
At the end of such a successful evening, the guests spent the rest of the week with the newlyweds.
The bride concludes, “David and I would like to say a big thank you to Daniela from The Tuscan Wedding for all the hard work and effort she put into planning our perfect wedding just outside of Florence. We just returned one week ago and our family and friends are still commenting on what a beautiful location and day it was.”
