The beauty and magical setting of Florence, Italy was the backdrop for Sten and Leila’s perfect “I do” ceremony. On the 20th of September 2014, these two lovebirds made a promise to each other at the magnificent Villa le Piazzole.
The picturesque ceremony was a civil union attended by the couple’s closest friends and family. The color scheme utilized natural hues for a very calm and romantic vibe.
The bride stunned her audience in an original gown designed by one of her best friends and as she walked down the aisle a soft melody filled their air. The bridesmaids all wore different dresses to add a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
During the reception, a DJ was hired to keep the audience entertained and having a good time. The reception was a formal sit down dinner. The first course consisted of a medley of silk leeks stuffed with eggplant and burrata cheese on top of a coulis tomato bed. Alongside that was a savory risotto with zucchini and saffron veloute.
The main course consisted of thinly sliced steak with salmoriglio sauce. The vegetarian option was eggplant with mozzarella, tomatoes and fresh basil. Additionally there was marinated, grilled vegetables to indulge on.
A highlight of the night was the cake, which was enjoyed poolside. A romantic atmosphere was set by the lights, which circled the area with a dim yet mystical glow. They also had a tableau decorated with Polaroid photos which guests enjoyed looking at.
The wonderful celebration went into the night as guests danced, mingled, and shared in the new lives of Sten and Leila.[:]
