The Castle of Celsa stands along the secondary route of the Francigena that leads from Colle Val d’Elsa to Siena and dominates the panorama that extends from Siena to Monte Amiata. The original nucleus dates back to the thirteenth century, but it was in the sixteenth century that the Sienese family of the Celsi wanted to renew and embellish the castle by the architect Baldassarre Peruzzi, whose intervention is the splendid circular chapel and the terraced terrace ornate wall with parallel to the avenue of access.
At the foot of the highest tower of the Castle is the sixteenth-century Chapel, surrounded by the Castle, the Italian Garden and the Park. The work of the famous architect Baldassarre Peruzzi, a native of the area, is the perfect place to celebrate an unforgettable wedding immersed in an atmosphere of the past.
