Here is the story of an American couple who with just two months before their trip to Italy, decided that since they were already going to be in the most beautiful and romantic region in the world—Tuscany, that they should get married during their stay!
Planning a gorgeous Italian wedding in just two months seems like quite the challenge; however, the bride and groom-to-be knew it would all be possible after getting in touch with The Tuscan Wedding. The couple and just over a dozen of their closest friends and family, joined for an intimate rustic-chic ceremony on a beautiful June day, at Villa Medicea di Lillianio.
The day quickly approached, and love and excitement was in the air. Rose wore a stunning white ball gown, with a sweetheart neckline, delicate lace embellishments, and a lace trim veil fit for a princess. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a low bun, with pieces left down to frame her face, glowing with bridal beauty. Like her name, her bouquet arranged by Flowers Living included white roses, along with peach peony and bright Italian greenery all wrapped in peach ribbon.
Rick was classically fitted with a black suit and necktie, with a peach peony to match his bride-to-be. With the mid-day summer sun in the sky, it was time for the first look. A more modern ritual where the groom waits for his bride before the ceremony with eyes closed, then opens them to see her in her wedding gown, as if seeing her for the first time. This intimate, pre-ceremonial moment brought them closer and enhanced the love and beauty of the day.
After this, Rick & Rose separated one last time and prepared to be joined forever in matrimony. Rose and her loving father, now linked arm and arm, walk together down the long lemon tree-lined pathway, where she will meet her groom at the altar. With the love of their close friends and family radiating onto them, and the sweet sounds of the solo violinist, Rick & Rose exchanged personally written vows and enjoyed a romantic ceremony where they would become husband and wife.
Following the ceremony, the couple fully embraced their Italian destination by strolling around the venue’s blooming gardens, stone fountains, and other hidden treasures, taking beautiful photographs and capturing memories to be enjoyed for a lifetime.
The guests would first enjoy a small aperitif on the Villa terrace, which overlooked the spectacular Tuscan countryside, as well as the city of Florence. Then move down to the garden, where The Tuscan Wedding decorated a family-style wooden dinner table, set with peach and white floral centrepiece resting along a white runner. Here the newlyweds and their guests would enjoy the finest Italian cuisine, prepared by the Villa’s head chef.
After a wonderful meal the couple finished the day and saluted their new journey together as husband and wife, by joining hands and cutting their petite white wedding cake, designed by Tuscan Wedding Cakes with an elegant floral design.
The Tuscan Wedding said goodnight, wishing them all their love, and thanked them for letting us be a part of such a special and unforgettable occasion.
